This tool gives you every option you could possibly want for spacing and placement, which not only makes your garden look nicer but prevents from accidental overcrowding by planting too close together, and you can label everything out and space your watering system precisely to avoid water waste. This is especially important for us because we are on a rural co-op water system and it is expensive. Our monthly water bill ranges from $125 to $150 per month, and that's on months where we are not watering as much. I like that this also comes with a poking tool, so you can set it up, press it down then poke the hole for the seed or bulb. It's not perfect, but it lets you mark where you need to plant, and you can come back and enlarge the hole a bit if you need to. I like the bright green color and this is definitely kid-friendly, for those who have kids learning how to garden. When you're done planting just wash it off, pop the marker back into the spot on the spacer and put it away. It's so small and thin it doesn't take much room to store it either. This is a great deal for the cost.

I was grateful to use it again this fall for my garlic and kale! I’m going to have so much room in the spring for the rest of everything, and now, my garden may be too big for me and who all I share with!
